BE THE BEAUTY Project for August 2011

This month we are collecting boxes of children's bandaids to donate to the Fourth Street Clinic, which provides healthcare to the homeless.

Many of the homeless served by the Fourth Street Clinic are children who have very little in their lives of the wonder and magic in that all children deserve to experience.

By donating new, unopened boxes of themed children's bandaids, we are not only providing a much-need medical supply but are also providing a small element of fun and comfort to children who need it the most during a time of stress and fear.

Fourth Street Clinic is a nonprofit organization that works to end homelessness by providing comprehensive health care and support services to homeless Utahns.

For many of their patients, Fourth Street Clinic is their first and only chance at proper diagnosis and treatment. Good physical and mental health is the foundation for transitioning back into permanent housing.

BE THE BEAUTY Project for July 2011

Collecting women and children's clothing for the Domestic Violence Shelter.

It is hard to imagine the experiences of a woman and her children who sneak off in the middle of the night, often in their pajamas with only the clothes on their back, seeking safety in a domestic violence shelter

With so many other things to worry about, they should not have to be concerned about not having clothing and personal care items for themselves and their children.

This month we are supporting these brave women who find the courage to leave and stop the abuse for themselves and their children. We are collecting women's and children's clothing for the domestic violence shelters which provide a safe haven for endangered women and their children.

All different kinds of clothing are needed – pajamas, socks, shoes, jeans, work clothes, along with the same for all ages of children.

Clothing need no be new, but should be clean and in good repair.
